Peter, Age 3
Incident: Peter was playing with his brother when he fell back, hitting his head on the wall and received a scalp laceration.
“It was March 2020- right at the height of Covid. Schools and businesses had just shut down. My 3-year-old son was playing in our home when he fell and cut the back of his head on the corner of the wall. We rushed him to the pediatrician’s office as hospitals were overrun with Covid patients. It was clear he needed stitches, and they immediately recommended Dr.STITCH. They called over to the office and we were on our way within a few minutes. Dr. Ruotolo and her staff met us at the door and had my son on a table getting him stitched up right away. My son was very feisty, and I was understandably upset, but this group made a very traumatic experience a whole lot easier. Dr. Ruotolo was very compassionate and did a great job. I did not care about the cosmetic part of it as I was more concerned about closing my son’s head up. But you can barely see a scar where the huge gash was. We are eternally grateful to this team and have recommended them to many of our friends and family.”
