Nora, Age 3
Incident: Nora fell in the bathroom and split her chin on the bathtub.
“From start to finish, our experience with Dr.STITCH couldn’t have been better. My 3-year-old daughter, Nora, fell in the bathroom and split her chin on the bathtub. None of my children had ever needed stitches before, so I didn’t know what to do… go to the emergency room, go to a walk-in clinic, go to the pediatrician … I was definitely frazzled. I contacted our pediatrician who gave us the number for Dr.STITCH. Kristen answered the phone, and she was beyond helpful and compassionate. She was able to help us coordinate with the doctor on call, Dr. Mattos, as well as the hospital we would be going to. Nora has a rare bone marrow failure disorder, SDS, and can be neutropenic. I was very worried about going to a hospital that isn’t familiar with her and her ER protocol. Kristen spoke with both Dr. Mattos as well as the hospital about this and they were able to accommodate her special needs and get us right into a room without waiting. Dr. Mattos was amazing with Nora and did a phenomenal job. I have already told my family and friends to save Dr.STITCH in their phones! I truly can’t recommend enough. Thank you for giving us the best-case scenario in a scary situation!”
