Elizabeth, Age 4
Incident: Elizabeth was playing in the snow when she fell and needed to get stitches above her eyebrow.
“I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Dr.STITCH (well, apart from the fact that it was required at all!). My 4-year-old busted her forehead open on a chair, and at the recommendation of a friend, I called Dr.STITCH directly, bypassing even my pediatrician. Within 10 minutes, we had a plan to meet Dr. Mattos at the E.R. within the hour. Dr. Mattos contacted me immediately via text to get a picture of the wound and confirm that it would need stitches. Once we were in the room, Dr. Mattos was absolutely wonderful with my daughter. Got down on her level and explained exactly what he was going to do and when and how it would hurt. My daughter took it like a champ, in large part due to his excellent preparation! He was so kind and professional, and the scar a month later is healing SO well! The follow up was easy (telehealth), and Dr. Mattos told me multiple times to feel free to contact him directly via text with any questions. The next day I sent Dr.STITCH contact information to ALL my friends with young kids. Can never be too prepared! Thanks Dr. Mattos for making a tough situation go as smoothly as possible.”
