Incident: Kelly fell and hit his face on the edge of a fireplace.
“My son Kelly was just under a year old when he fell and hit his face on the edge of a fireplace. As a first-time parent I was of course overwhelmed with anxiety and stress. However, being an employee of NYPS Group, I knew that the first call I needed to make was to Dr.STITCH.
Immediately, the operator told me to head to the Babylon location to see Dr. Pinsky. When we arrived, Kelly was given a toy to play with, and we were led to an exam room. Dr. Pinsky’s nurse, Barbara, prepared me for what to expect and walked me through what the process would look like, step by step. As Dr. Pinsky began to stitch up Kelly’s brow, my nerves calmed. Both he and Barbara were gentle, thorough, and kind.
As an employee of NYPS Group I’ve always heard patients rave about our emergency service. However, now having experienced it for myself, I have a new level of gratitude for our Dr.STITCH operators and clinical staff. Together they made an unfortunate experience much less scary!”
